ROCMND APRC Serving our CommunityOur Initiatives

Prescription drug abuse is a growing problem in Oklahoma which leads the nation in abuse of this very dangerous issue. Youth and young adults are the fasting growing segment of the population abusing prescription drugs. The majority of teens who abuse prescription drugs get them easily and for free, primarily from friends and relatives. Youth believe there is no risk since they are prescribed by a doctor and are legally made, not taking in consideration the dangers of taking these medications without a doctor's supervision.
